"The past is for reference, not for residence". We will work together, briefly revisiting the past, to be better informed about our present. My therapeutic orientation is empowerment based, solution-focused and follows an ecological model of treatment, working with the person as a whole human being, not just the sum of its parts. This mindset fuels the therapeutic process. Within an atmosphere free of judgement, your intuitive process will be honored during our sessions. While my counseling style is eclectic, I utilize dialectical approaches to increase mindfulness and acceptance when coping with depression, anxiety and fear of loss. My philosophy when treating trauma, patience. We will work at a pace that is comfortable for you, while giving gentle nudges when fear tries to paralyze. I bring a unique perspective to my counseling services which is focused on insights and real-life solutions to the most challenging of problems. Evening and weekend appointments are available for established clients.
