I am interested in working with men's and women's issues. I have experience working with professional individuals (e.g. attorneys, physicians, nurses, therapists, organization leaders, CPA's and more). As a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, I help individuals understand themselves better so they can function better and more joyfully in their lives, relationships, and work. I listen to the issues for underlying themes which help to identify what may be getting in the way. Difficulties may include: sadness; depression; anxiety; life transitions; relationship issues; professional difficulties; patterns of job or relationship failures; past history of trauma; or current trauma. I trained at the Menninger Residency in Kansas. I started my psychoanalytic training there and finished in 2007 at Oregon Psychoanalytic Institute. Part of my work at Menninger's was on the Professionals in Crisis Unit. I started private practice in Portland, in 2001. I teach at OPI. I provide a confidential and safe situation to meet and discuss a person's needs. I do analytically informed psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for both long and short term treatments.
